About Roman Atlas

Roman Atlas is an independent, non-commercial portal by MixinVisuals for exploring everything NASA publishes about the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. It keeps itself current: every 15 minutes it checks NASA Science (science.nasa.gov) for new Roman media and news, reads the Roman mission pages there for their illustrations, visualizations, cleanroom photos and posters once a day, and checks the NASA Image and Video Library every few hours, then publishes everything here with the original descriptions and credits.

The archive currently holds 566 images, last updated October 10, 2026.

Using the images

NASA imagery is generally not subject to copyright in the United States, but some images include material from partners and carry their own credit lines. Each image page links to its NASA source; follow NASA’s media usage guidelines and credit as shown.

For researchers and AI assistants

The full catalog is available as archive.json; a machine-readable summary is at llms.txt and llms-full.txt, and every page has a Markdown version at the same address plus index.md. Science-grade Roman data is distributed by MAST.
